The ICT Mobile and Wireless Communications Summit (ICT-MobileSummit 2008)
takes place in the Innovative City of Stockholm from 10th -12th June
2008. EUWB consortium is glad to support this event with participation
of Prof. S. Zeisberg, EUWB consortium leader, in the Technical Program
Committee. The consortium has submitted several publications for review
and plans to be present with an exhibition booth as well. This is the
seventeenth in a series of Annual Conferences supported by the European
Commission, which regularly attracts over 600 delegates from industry
and research to share experiences and research results, identify future
trends, discuss business opportunities and identify opportunities for
international research collaboration under the ICT Theme of Framework
Programme 7 (FP7).
It will thus contribute to showcasing European
research in the field, and position it within the multiplicity of
related initiatives supported in other regions of the world. In the
context of convergence, the 17th ICT Mobile and Wireless Communications
Summit will address the challenges of Future Ubiquitous Networks based
on mobile and wireless communications, complemented with fixed
infrastructures. The impact of such Future Networks on the underlying
Internet infrastructure will in particular be emphasised in the 2008
Summit. Services and applications for billions of users involving
trillions of interconnected potentially mobile devices will be
addressed at the event. The Plenary on the third day of the
ICT-MobileSummit will focus on the Future Internet. Supported by the
European Commission and eMobility, the ICT-MobileSummit's reputation is
based on high quality paper sessions that showcase original results in
all areas of wireless communications systems and networks, including
Mobile and Fixed, Terrestrial and Satellite. While European funded
research results are of particular interest, innovative research funded
commercially or at national level is equally interesting from a
community perspective. The participation of representatives of leading
commercial, research and regulatory organizations in the Conference
Community ensures a stimulating and high quality networking environment.
